    About the role#

    The Graduate Assistant for Campus Engagement and Intramural Programs supports the Office of Student Campus Life. This role focuses on creating opportunities for student involvement, leadership development, and recreation. You will report to the Manager of Student Campus Life Activities and assist with the planning, implementation, and assessment of campus initiatives. This is a part-time, temporary position requiring 15 hours per week.

    What you'll do#

    • Manage the IMLeagues platform, including registrations, scheduling, and league administration.
    • Recruit, train, and supervise student officials and scorekeepers.
    • Plan and implement intramural leagues, tournaments, and recreational events.
    • Coordinate facility reservations and equipment needs for intramural activities.
    • Promote participation through marketing and campus outreach.
    • Assist student leaders with event planning, risk management, and leadership development.
    • Provide administrative support for club trainings and organizational workshops.
    • Manage organization registrations and event submissions on the Student Engagement Portal.
    • Supervise Student Commuter Lounge Ambassadors and support commuter-focused programs.
    • Collect data and prepare reports to inform program improvements.
    • Represent Student Campus Life at university events and committee meetings.

    What you'll need#

    • Bachelor's degree in education, project management, sports, or recreation.
    • Experience in student leadership, campus employment, or volunteer coordination.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to build relationships with students from diverse backgrounds.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
    • Valid California driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
    • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
    • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
