About the role#
The Truth and Reconciliation Action Committee (TRAC) guides the work of the University of Alberta Students' Union toward reconciliation. This is a volunteer position running from May 2026 to April 2027. The Indigenous Students' Union selects members for this committee.
What you'll do#
- Attend meetings held once or twice a month.
- Review meeting materials in advance to prepare for discussions and decisions.
- Maintain consistent attendance throughout the term.
What you'll need#
- You must be a First Nations, Métis, or Inuit student.
- You must be an undergraduate student at the University of Alberta registered in at least one course for credit during the Fall and Winter semesters of the 2026/27 academic year.
- This role is open to students from all faculties and all levels of experience. Relevant fields of study include Political Science, Sociology, Industrial Design, Human Resources, and Communications.
