The 80A Studio Intern will support the day-to-day operations of the studio and live event environment. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, this role provides hands-on support for production staff, offering exposure to recording, mixing, and live production workflows. This is a paid, full-time internship for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Support studio and event operations through setup, reset, load-in, and load-out assistance under direct supervision.
- Assist with cable management, including cable runs, wrapping, labeling, storage, and strike procedures.
- Prepare studio and event spaces by setting up mic stands, headphones, furniture, stage layouts, sandbags, and related production materials.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of studio and event spaces.
- Conduct inventory checks and organize production equipment and accessories.
- Provide administrative support including filing, track sheets, session notes, and drive labeling.
- Observe recording, mixing, and live production workflows for training purposes.
What you'll need#
- A passion for recorded music, audio engineering, and live entertainment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A willingness to learn and follow instructions in professional production environments.
- Ability to safely perform physical production support tasks, including standing, lifting, and bending.
- Excellent communication skills anchored by honesty, approachability, and an open mind.
- Currently pursuing studies in Communications, Media Studies, Art, Graphic Design, or Business Administration.
