About the role#
Forge is the TW Metals internship program. It is a paid, 10-week summer program for college students. You apply to the program as a whole, and we place you with a team based on your skills and interests. You may work in Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, Human Resources, or Finance. You will own a project from start to finish, learn the systems that run the business, and present your findings to our senior leadership team at the end of the summer.
What you'll do#
- Partner with your team and mentor on a project that makes a visible impact.
- Learn and use the business systems, tools, and processes used across the company.
- Gather, organize, and analyze data to support decisions and recommendations.
- Collaborate across departments and build relationships with colleagues.
- Visit a TW Metals mill or branch to see how products are made, stored, and moved.
- Prepare and present your project and findings to our senior leadership team.
- Bring fresh ideas and a willingness to ask questions and grow.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an associate, bachelor, or graduate program, or recent graduation.
- Coursework or a genuine interest in business, sales, supply chain, operations, human resources, or finance.
- Availability for the full program from June 1 to August 6, 2027.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Eagerness to learn new tools.
- Curiosity, initiative, professionalism, and a team-first attitude.
- Reliability and a coachable mindset.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship.
- Positions are located in Carol Stream, Illinois; Forest Park, Georgia; and Exton, Pennsylvania.
