The Structural Engineering Intern will join the TULLOCH team in Huntsville to provide engineering solutions for bridges, buildings, and utility-scale power generating facilities. This role reports to the Project Manager and involves working with both private and government sector clients throughout Ontario.
What you'll do#
- Perform pre-engineering inspections and surveys.
- Complete, check, and review technical deliverables, including reports, technical notes, drawings, and engineering calculations.
- Prepare plans, proposals, specifications, supporting documents, and permit applications.
- Complete preliminary and detailed design and specifications for structural projects, such as transportation structures and commercial, residential, and industrial buildings.
- Assist with project management, construction administration, tenders, and cost estimates.
- Participate in public and stakeholder consultations and perform construction inspections.
What you'll need#
- University degree in Civil, Structural, Architecture, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Registered Civil Engineering Intern.
- 0-3 years of experience in the civil/structural consulting industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office Suite.
- Valid Class G driver’s licence.
- Willingness to travel when necessary.
- Building Code knowledge or a BCIN is considered an asset.
- Bridge design experience is considered an asset.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with a commitment to workplace health and safety.

- Work Modality: On-site.
- Employment Type: Full-time.
- Compensation: $75,000 - $92,000 annually, including benefits and a company pension plan.
