About the role#
The Civil Engineering Technician (Fall Student) position at TULLOCH is a full-time, on-site role based in Huntsville, Ontario. This opportunity runs from September through December 2026 and focuses on supporting civil and water resources engineering project delivery. You will work within a team environment, with a primary focus on construction inspection and site fieldwork.
What you'll do#
- Perform and assist with construction inspections on various projects.
- Support the preparation of plans, proposals, specifications, supporting documents, reports, and permit applications.
- Assist with stormwater management design and other water resources management projects.
- Develop site plan documents, including site services, grading, and drainage.
- Assist with civil engineering design for municipal infrastructure.
- Collaborate on subdivision development projects.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a relevant field of study, such as Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, or Water Resources.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- A valid Class G driver’s licence and willingness to travel for daily site inspections and fieldwork.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is considered an asset.
- Experience with Total Station and GPS survey equipment is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with software such as OttHymo, MIDUSS, or the Rational Method is considered an asset.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
