Planner (Fall Student)

About the role#

The Planner (Fall Student) at TULLOCH assists with all aspects of planning project delivery for development projects throughout northern and central Ontario. This is a paid, full-time position based in Sudbury, Ontario, involving both office work and occasional travel for site inspections.

What you'll do#

• Assist in the delivery of planning projects, including both large and small-scale developments.
• Conduct Property Due Diligence, including highest and best use analysis and review of existing planning permissions.
• Prepare Planning Act applications, such as Consent, Minor Variance, Zoning By-Law Amendments, Official Plan Amendments, and Site Plan Control.
• Attend site meetings and visits to evaluate site constraints and surrounding contexts.
• Liaise with municipalities, government agencies, and other professionals.
• Utilize AutoCAD and other design applications to support project requirements.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Land Use Planning program or a relevant field of study.
• Proficiency in the MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of design software, specifically AutoCAD.
• Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills, supported by strong interpersonal and critical thinking abilities.
• A valid Class G driver’s licence.
• A commitment to workplace health and safety.

• Compensation: $23.00 - $27.00 hourly.
