TSC is seeking students for an Electrical Engineering Co-Op position in Huntsville, Alabama, supporting the Radar & Precision Weapons Development Operation. This program allows students to apply classroom theory to practical work situations while clarifying academic and career goals. Co-ops commit to three semesters of work on an alternating schedule.
What you'll do#
Co-ops support the full-time engineering staff with hands-on tasks, with responsibilities increasing as experience grows. Key activities include:
- Perform data analysis and identify post-flight or mission data processing.
- Provide field test support for military defense systems.
- Conduct acceptance testing of RF/microwave components.
- Assist with the development of electronic component test procedures.
- Utilize computer-aided design tools for circuit and system modeling.
- Perform system integration, design verification, and statistical component failure analysis.
- Conduct low-voltage digital hardware testing and signal analysis using equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.
- Develop skills in tools such as MathCad, Matlab, Python, AutoCAD, OrCAD, and HFSS.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited university with good academic standing.
- Pursuit of a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Hardware Engineering, Wireless Hardware Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD Security Clearance.
- Preferred: Coursework or experience in basic engineering circuit analysis and basic digital logic.
