Biomed Skillbridge Internship

About the role#

The Biomed Skillbridge Internship provides on-the-job training for active service members. You will work under the supervision of experienced clinical, biomedical, lab, and radiology engineers to gain practical experience in a hospital environment. This is a full-time, paid position.

What you'll do#

• Shadow experienced engineers to learn daily operations and hospital workflows.
• Respond to service calls and manage workload priorities.
• Document repairs and preventative maintenance (PM) work orders.
• Perform preventative maintenance procedures and inventory validation.
• Assist with vendor management and equipment calibration.
• Learn troubleshooting techniques, electrical safety, and equipment repair.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an associate’s or technical degree program, or an equivalent biomedical-related certification program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings, including a background check and drug test.
• Previous experience working with biomedical equipment in a clinical engineering environment is preferred.
