About the role#
Trimble is seeking an AI Developer Intern to work on enterprise-scale artificial intelligence ecosystems. You will work alongside senior engineering leads to experiment in sandboxes and build software that drives business efficiencies. This is a full-time, paid position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Design, code, and evaluate intelligent prototypes, agentic workflows, and automated pipelines.
- Partner with cross-functional business application teams to turn workflow requirements into AI-driven automations.
- Conduct rapid prototyping and sandbox testing to evaluate model performance.
- Test technical hypotheses and refine smart tools.
- Collaborate with senior engineering mentors to adopt industry best practices for model integration, APIs, and modern AI engineering standards.
What you'll need#
- Active pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- Practical programming foundation in Python, TypeScript, or C++.
- Sound software design fundamentals.
- Hands-on technical experience building AI solutions, integrating LLM APIs, or scripting custom tools.
- Collaborative mindset and strong problem-solving initiative.
- Clear verbal and written communication abilities.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure is preferred.
- Exposure to LangChain, LlamaIndex, or vector databases is preferred.
- Hands-on experience developing, integrating, or consuming RESTful APIs is preferred.
