About the role#
Tria Federal is hiring for the 2027 Summer Internship Program supporting the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Uniform Business Office (UBO). This full-time, paid internship provides an immersive experience in federal consulting and healthcare business operations. You will work alongside consultants to improve operational efficiency and data quality within the Military Health System. This role is hybrid and based in Arlington, Virginia.
What you'll do#
- Support the development of tools and dashboards to improve performance tracking and transparency.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for better data accuracy, workflow efficiency, and business reporting.
- Perform comparative research and benchmarking on federal healthcare operations.
- Create draft communication materials, knowledge-sharing resources, and engagement tools.
- Assist with analytical efforts regarding revenue-cycle operations including billing, reimbursement, charge capture, and compliance.
- Track project deliverables, action items, and schedules.
- Prepare meeting notes and status updates.
- Use tools such as Generative AI, Machine Learning, or Robotic Process Automation to streamline workflows and automate insights.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student in Business Administration, Finance, Data Science, Public Health, Health Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- A detail-oriented, proactive, and curious mindset.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass a background check.
- Familiarity with data-visualization platforms like Power BI is preferred.
- Prior coursework or experience in data analysis, business operations, or healthcare administration is preferred.
