About the role#
TransTech Group is looking for a Business Data Analyst Intern to support our reporting, analytics, and automation efforts. Working within our Microsoft Fabric environment, you will help turn data into useful insights for our teams. You will collaborate with the Manager of Business Analysis and Process and the Business Data Analyst to build reports, validate data, and contribute to early AI initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience with enterprise analytics tools in a manufacturing and engineering setting.
What you'll do#
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Project Management.
- Organize and maintain Fabric assets, including semantic models and dataflows.
- Validate data accuracy, consistency, and usability across business processes.
- Document data definitions, report logic, and business rules.
- Assist with business process improvements using Power Automate or AI-enabled solutions.
- Reconcile data across reports and identify opportunities to improve reliability.
- Support meetings with business users to clarify reporting needs and requirements.
- Answer business questions using Excel, SQL, Power BI, or Fabric datasets.
- Participate in special projects related to digital transformation.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Excel, Power BI, SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Interest in business data, reporting, and process improvement.
- Curiosity and a desire to learn about data systems in a real-world business environment.
- Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, or SharePoint is a plus.
