About the role#
Toth and Associates hires engineering students for a paid internship program in Springfield, Missouri. This role offers hands-on experience working with industry professionals on active client projects. You will join a team of engineers, designers, planners, and project managers to help build and maintain critical infrastructure.
What you'll do#
Your daily tasks depend on your area of study and current project needs. You will contribute to the following areas:
- Civil Engineering: Draft site development and grading plans, manage stormwater and drainage designs, and assist with erosion control plans and permitting.
- Electrical Engineering: Support substation design and upgrades, transmission and distribution line design, power system modeling, and various studies.
- Transmission and Distribution: Assist with pole loading, line design, route evaluations, field investigations, and structure design coordination.
- Surveying and Technology: Perform field data collection, mapping, GIS data management, utility documentation, and provide project coordination support.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- A motivated, curious, and innovative mindset.

- This is an on-site, full-time position based in Springfield, Missouri.
- The internship follows a rolling term schedule.
