About the role#
The AI Supply Chain Intern will support the development, testing, and deployment of AI-powered agent solutions across Demand Planning, Execution, and Inventory Management. You will work directly with subject matter experts to identify automation opportunities, develop prototypes, and validate business requirements. This role offers hands-on experience applying Artificial Intelligence, process automation, and data analytics within a professional supply chain environment.
What you'll do#
- Identify repetitive supply chain activities suitable for AI automation.
- Design, prototype, and test AI agents that support Demand Planning, Inventory Management, Order Execution, and Reporting.
- Build agent workflows using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Python, and APIs.
- Document business requirements, workflows, and agent functionality.
- Support testing and validation of AI-powered solutions by executing test cases and documenting defects.
- Validate forecast outputs against business expectations and gather feedback from planners and stakeholders.
- Support the creation of training materials and user documentation.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Technology, Data Analytics, Engineering, Business, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Strong analytical, problem determination, and debugging skills.
- Understanding of supply chain concepts, including planning, inventory management, and relevant metrics.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with AI/ML tools, such as LLMs or Microsoft Copilot.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team-based environment.
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.

- Location: Durham, North Carolina (Hybrid).
- Term: Fall 2026 (September 14 – December 4, 2026).
- Hours: 15-30 hours per week, to be determined with your manager.
- Employment type: Paid internship.
