About the role#
The Box Office & Fanwear Intern supports both the retail and ticketing departments for the Toledo Mud Hens and Walleye. This position offers hands-on experience in minor league baseball and hockey operations. The internship runs for the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 term. You will work 35 to 40 hours per week, including rotating game day weekends.
What you'll do#
- Assist with game day operations and support managers with daily tasks.
- Interact with customers, vendors, promoters, and staff to resolve ticketing questions via phone and email.
- Process ticket exchanges and provide accurate information to guests regarding event details and seat selection.
- Fulfill online retail orders and create merchandise displays in the Team Store.
- Maintain the cleanliness of your assigned work area and reconcile your workstation at the end of each shift.
- Work toward achieving sales and productivity goals while maintaining high mystery shop scores.
What you'll need#
- Must be 18 years or older and currently enrolled in Sports Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a customer service role.
- Ability to work at least 50% of all Mud Hens and Walleye games.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and comfort with extensive fan contact.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer systems.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and spend shifts on your feet when working in the store.

- This role is based in Toledo, Ohio.
- This is an on-site, paid internship.
- The schedule requires flexibility, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
