About the role#
SoundOn is the music distribution and creator growth platform for TikTok. As a Music Partnerships Intern, you will join the North America team to help manage and grow a portfolio of artists and labels. You will learn the business from the inside and use AI to rebuild existing workflows to improve efficiency and create commercial value.
What you'll do#
- Support daily relationships with artists and labels.
- Identify high-potential artists and catalogs to bring onto the SoundOn platform.
- Assist in forming deals by preparing valuations and necessary deal materials.
- Manage partner catalogs to ensure accuracy regarding track information, credits, rights, and splits.
- Resolve catalog issues to prevent negative impacts on distribution or revenue.
- Track partner and catalog performance metrics.
- Create business visualizations and insights for internal decision-making and partner reviews.
- Learn existing workflows and build AI automations to improve operational efficiency.
- Verify the accuracy of AI-generated analysis before it is used for business decisions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or master's degree program in a product operations-related discipline.
- Ability to commit to at least 12 weeks for the internship.
- Experience with AI beyond basic LLM usage, including building agents or automated workflows that solved real problems.
- Ability to rethink problems from first principles and demonstrate clear impact.
- A passion for the music industry and a basic understanding of streaming, distribution, or music rights.
- Strong analytical judgment and attention to detail.
- Ability to build clear, decision-ready business visualizations.
- A portfolio, GitHub, or demo of past AI projects.
- Previous experience in media or entertainment, such as music, film/TV, gaming, or the creator economy, is a plus.
