About the role#
The Development Assistant Intern supports the Director of Development with the planning, coordination, and execution of construction and renovation projects. This role involves direct participation in the development lifecycle rather than passive observation. You will help maintain organization and visibility across multiple projects to ensure deadlines are met and documentation remains current.
What you'll do#
- Maintain an up-to-date master tracker for all active development projects.
- Assist with tracking zoning, planning, and building permits.
- Collect, organize, and track project invoices.
- Prepare agendas and supporting materials for development meetings.
- Accompany the Director of Development on project site visits.
- Communicate with contractors, vendors, and municipal representatives to follow up on outstanding items.
What you'll need#
- Current college student or recent graduate in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, Real Estate, Architecture, or Civil Engineering.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to maintain accurate spreadsheets and project trackers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort working independently and following up on project tasks.

- This is a paid, part-time internship with a rolling term.
- Work is performed on-site.
