About the role#
This is a full-time, paid Mechatronics Engineering Co-Op position based in Bloomington, Minnesota. You will work on-site for a two-semester term covering Winter and Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
Your primary project involves Hardware-in-Loop testing. You will convert existing test systems to a new architecture, write new tests to increase coverage, and execute regression tests. Beyond this, you will support component testing projects by:
- Creating test plans for electronic and mechatronic components.
- Analyzing test results to find trends and failure modes.
- Reporting findings and providing design recommendations.
- Assisting with additional mechatronics projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Completed at least two years of an ABET-accredited engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or Computer Engineering.
- Current enrollment in a two-semester (Spring-Summer) co-op program.
- Skills in Python, Arduino, LabVIEW, and TestStand.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, soldering, wiring, electrical schematics, DC circuits, and embedded systems.
- Strong attention to detail, a collaborative mindset, and accountability.
