About the role#
The PENTA Building Group is hiring a Project Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This position is based on-site in Los Angeles, California. You will gain experience in construction operations by supporting project teams with documentation, planning, and site administration.
What you'll do#
- Follow safety policies and ensure the safety of others on the jobsite.
- Process Requests for Information and assist in the review of shop drawings.
- Update project schedules and participate in project meetings.
- Manage submittal logs and create submittal packages.
- Assist in developing procurement logs and tracking material deliveries.
- Navigate Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.
- Help administer project quality plans.
- Learn the basics of schematic, design, and construction drawings along with MEPFS systems.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architectural Engineering.
- A positive and proactive work ethic.
- Dedication to teamwork.
- Reliable transportation and the flexibility to commute to an assigned jobsite.
