About the role#
The NRP Group offers a 10-week summer internship program for students pursuing careers in construction. This program provides hands-on experience across three potential focus areas: Field Engineering, Estimating, or Construction Office support. You will work directly with project teams to learn how multifamily developments are built from the ground up.
What you'll do#
- Support the Superintendent and Project Manager with daily construction activities.
- Inspect work to ensure it matches plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- Review project plans, drawings, and documentation.
- Document construction progress and track site issues.
- Analyze plans to develop cost estimates for materials, labor, and subcontractor work.
- Prepare bid packages and compare subcontractor bids.
- Coordinate submittals, RFIs, schedules, and inspections.
- Assist with quality control, site safety, and issue resolution.
- Participate in professional development sessions, lunch-and-learns, and mentorship activities.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in a related field, with a graduation date by June 2028.
- Ability to commit to 40 hours per week for the full 10-week duration of the internship.
- Note that sponsorship for work visas is not available for this program.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship for Summer 2027.
- Positions are available in Cleveland, OH; Austin, TX; Jersey City, NJ; Miami, FL; Charlotte, NC; Fort Myers, FL; Dallas, TX; and various locations across Nevada, Texas, and Arizona.
