About the role#
As a Summer M&A Analyst, you will gain direct exposure to middle-market mergers and acquisitions. This program mirrors the responsibilities of a full-time Analyst, involving you in live deal execution across various industries. You will work alongside Analysts, Associates, and senior bankers to understand how strategic and financial buyers evaluate investment opportunities. The role covers the transaction lifecycle from early-stage pitch development to final negotiations and closings.
What you'll do#
- Build detailed financial models and perform valuation analyses.
- Prepare confidential information memoranda and draft management presentations.
- Conduct research on companies, industries, and potential buyers or sellers.
- Support due diligence efforts and manage data rooms.
- Participate in client calls, management meetings, and deal team discussions.
What you'll need#
- You must be a rising college senior or entering the final year of a graduate program.
- Strong academic performance in finance, accounting, economics, or business administration.
- A solid understanding of corporate finance, valuation methods, and financial statement analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with prior financial modeling experience preferred.
- Excellent research, analytical, and quantitative skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- A team-oriented mindset and attention to detail.
