About the role#
The Learning Lamp is hiring a Child Care Staff member for an HGA Extern position in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. This is a part-time, paid opportunity with a rolling term. You will work on-site at our child care center to support the growth and development of children.
What you'll do#
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
- Assist with feeding, diapering, toileting, and other basic care routines.
- Plan and conduct engaging and educational games, arts and crafts, and other developmental activities.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding daily activities and progress.
- Keep accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with children.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities.
- CPR and first aid certification.
- Majors in Psychology, Nursing, Public Health, Human Resources, Sociology, or Criminal Justice are relevant to this role.
