About the role#
The Program Manager leads the full lifecycle of the Department of War HBCU/TCU Summer Research Internship Program. This role connects students and faculty from Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Tribal Colleges and Universities with research opportunities that support the defense mission. You will serve as the primary contractor lead for program activities, schedules, and administrative execution.
What you'll do#
- Manage day-to-day program execution, including technical management planning, outreach, and marketing.
- Oversee website coordination, applicant database administration, and application collection.
- Conduct eligibility screening and support the selection process.
- Coordinate onboarding, stipends, relocation, housing, travel, and logistics for interns.
- Plan webinars and symposiums to support program engagement.
- Manage program evaluation, reporting, and closeout activities.
- Maintain program continuity and track milestones while resolving competing requirements.
What you'll need#
- Strong federal program management experience.
- Excellent communication skills and strong organizational discipline.
- Experience with stakeholder coordination.
- Previous experience supporting internship or fellowship programs.
- Ability to manage sensitive applicant and participant information in compliance with Government data protection requirements.

- This is a fully remote, full-time position.
- The role is paid and follows a rolling term.
