About the role#
The Summer Lugger intern acts as a primary point of contact for our customers. You will work in a team environment to provide junk removal services while focusing on our eco-friendly mission. This role offers the chance to learn about small business operations through direct interaction with company ownership.
What you'll do#
- Safely load, transport, and unload unwanted items for customers.
- Coordinate with local donation, recycling, and disposal partners.
- Manage your route efficiently by making operational decisions on the job site.
- Educate customers on our services and the value we provide.
- Perform daily inspections of trucks and equipment and report any issues.
- Execute marketing tactics to help build our customer base.
- Treat all team members and customers with respect.
- Partner with leadership to support continuous improvement projects.
What you'll need#
- Ability to lift 75 lbs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A safety-first mindset.
- Ability to learn and use field technology.
- Skill in solving problems as they arise.
- Your own mobile phone for daily use.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration or Operations Management.
