About the role#
The Social Media Fellow supports digital content strategies and helps manage the Kevin Roberts Podcast. This is a one-year, full-time fellowship based in Washington, DC. You will work with the Digital Productions team to promote content and track how it performs across various platforms.
What you'll do#
- Assist with planning, executing, and tracking social media advertising budgets.
- Monitor platforms to find and amplify high-performing content.
- Track key analytics and prepare reports on campaign performance.
- Support the Kevin Roberts Podcast through scheduling, promotion, and content management.
- Analyze podcast metrics to identify trends and improve audience engagement.
- Produce rapid-response content and create clips from events and products.
What you'll need#
- Progress towards a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Media Studies, or Political Science.
- Some experience in social media, marketing, or project coordination.
- Familiarity with interactive and multimedia work, including digital and social platforms.
- Excellent writing skills and the ability to condense complex information for online audiences.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and content management systems.
- A solid grasp of political and policy news.
- Strong organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Support for the Heritage mission and vision.
Location & details#
- Location: Washington, DC (On-site).
- Salary: $55,000 annually.
- Term: One-year, full-time.
- Benefits: Includes "take what you need" PTO and sick leave.
