About the role#
As a Research and Development Intern at The H-J Family of Companies, you will gain hands-on experience working with engineering and product development teams. This role provides exposure to the innovation process, from initial design concepts to prototyping and testing. You will work in a collaborative environment on projects that support the development of new products and processes for the power distribution industry.
What you'll do#
- Create models and detailed drawings of design concepts.
- Build prototypes of new product ideas.
- Assist in the development and testing of new products and processes.
- Research new technologies and summarize findings for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with engineers on cross-functional projects.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least two years in an Engineering program, with a preference for Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software, preferably SolidWorks.
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- Experience in building, prototyping, or machining is considered an asset.
- Ability to work on-site at the St. Louis, Missouri facility.
