About the role#
The Gray Insurance Company is hiring an intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Metairie, Louisiana. You will gain hands-on experience by working across various departments, including Underwriting, Claims, and Safety.
What you'll do#
- Shadow team members to learn about daily operations in each department.
- Assist with projects and tasks across the company.
- Conduct research and analysis to support specific initiatives.
- Prepare and organize reports, documents, and presentations.
- Help develop process improvements and recommendations.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to department goals.
- Attend company events and training sessions.
- Provide general administrative support.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
- On track to graduate in Summer 2025 or later.
- Strong interest in a career in the insurance industry.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- A proactive, self-motivated, and eager-to-learn mindset.
- A focus on problem-solving and efficiency.
