About the role#
The Farmer's Dog is looking for veterinary students to serve as Student Ambassadors. This program helps you build leadership skills and connect with industry experts while representing our mission on campus. You will act as a peer mentor and a resource for your classmates regarding canine nutrition. This is a paid 1099 independent contractor role that offers flexibility to manage your own schedule.
What you'll do#
- Act as a mentor and peer resource to your student community.
- Represent The Farmer's Dog professionally.
- Identify and participate in campus events, student organization meetings, and informational discussions.
- Organize or assist with on-campus educational events.
- Share non-confidential feedback and insights from your student community with our team.
What you'll need#
- You are a second or third year veterinary student in good academic standing.
- You are currently enrolled in an AVMA-accredited veterinary program.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated leadership through student organizations or professional roles.
- A proactive approach and the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Genuine enthusiasm for veterinary nutrition and advancing pet health.
- Ability to commit to the position for one school year.
Location & details#
- This role is remote and open to students across the United States.
- Compensation is a $1,000 flat-rate payment per semester.
- Ambassadors receive a discounted subscription rate for our products.
