Chemical Engineer Fall Intern

About the role#

The Chemours Company is seeking a Chemical Engineering Intern to join the Ore Technology team. This position provides the opportunity to work closely with experienced R&D professionals, scientists, and principal investigators on process technology developmental projects. This is a full-time, 5-month internship assignment scheduled for Fall 2026.

What you'll do#

• Collaborate with engineers and chemists to drive process optimization and new process development.
• Design, construct, operate, and optimize lab-scale unit operations, including reactors, filters, ovens, mixers, and pumps.
• Participate in process safety management activities and reviews.
• Support multiple projects through data analysis, recordkeeping, and information sharing with team members.
• Contribute to team meetings and conference calls.
• Maintain safe handling practices for chemicals and ensure the safe operation of chemical processes.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment at an accredited college or university as a Junior or above.
• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering or a similar field.
• A GPA of 3.0 or above is preferred.
• Experience with reaction engineering, thermodynamics, titration, filtration, and distillation.
• Hands-on experience building laboratory setups and working with chemicals.

• Term: Fall 2026 (August through December).
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week).
