About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within the grain and agronomy teams at The Arthur Companies. You will work alongside staff to support local farmers and learn the daily operations of an agricultural business. This position is a full-time, paid opportunity based in Arthur, North Dakota.
What you'll do#
- Learn operations-related skills to understand how the business functions.
- Operate a forklift safely.
- Shadow team members during seed operations.
- Maintain a clean and orderly facility.
- Assist with the planning and planting of test plots.
- Build a working knowledge of agronomic problems and apply scouting principles.
- Perform data entry tasks.
- Attend company training sessions and customer appreciation events.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in a degree program related to agriculture is preferred.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Comfort working in dusty environments and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to identify colors and perform tasks that require both near and distance vision.
