The Senior Manager, Student Account & External Services is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of student account and external billing functions. This role ensures accurate execution of billing, payment processing, and receivable activities while overseeing staff and monitoring workflow performance. The position serves as a key liaison to ensure operational consistency and service quality across the institution.
What you'll do#
- Manage daily student billing operations and accounts receivable reviews.
- Supervise Senior Account Specialist and Account Specialist roles.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Student Accounts & External Services, Financial Aid, and Enrollment.
- Coordinate financial aid reconciliation and ensure the accurate application of funds.
- Oversee daily refund processing workflows to ensure timely disbursements.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends and opportunities for innovation.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency and service delivery.
What you'll need#
- Associate’s degree in Business Management (Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in student accounts, billing, or financial operations.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of student billing, receivables, financial aid application, and refund processing.
- Ability to manage team performance, workload distribution, and service delivery.
- Proficiency in analyzing operational and financial data to monitor performance.
