Texas Instruments is seeking an Engineering Technician Intern to support product development lab activities. This role involves working with prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, and specialized test equipment. You will contribute to the design, fabrication, and characterization of systems while maintaining lab processes in accordance with IATF 16949 standards.
What you'll do#
- Perform technical functions including design, modification, assembly, and functional validation of prototype systems.
- Use test and diagnostic equipment, schematics, and layouts to perform operational testing and fault isolation.
- Conduct engineering tests and experimental procedures to collect design data.
- Maintain accurate lab documentation and ensure processes align with quality standards.
What you'll need#
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in a Technical Certificate or Associates Degree program in Electrical/Electronic Technology, Electromechanical Technology, Instrumentation Technology, Automated Industrial Technology, Robotics and Controls Technology, Nanoengineering, Electron Microscopy, or a related electronics field.
- Preferred skills include troubleshooting electrical/mechanical systems, soldering experience, and proficiency in MS Office.
