Intern

About the role#

The Texas Democratic Party offers a 10-week internship program designed to provide hands-on experience in political operations. Interns work directly with team members across various departments to support the party's mission and election efforts. This is a paid, part-time position requiring 24 hours of work per week.

What you'll do#

• Assist in organizing and maintaining organizational databases.
• Compile and refine monthly reports, including financial and after-action documentation.
• Conduct document and process analysis.
• Support outreach and engagement initiatives.
• Provide operational support for IT, operations, and HR departments.
• Assist with project management, research, and analytics, including survey design.
• Support change management, including the planning and implementation of new initiatives.

What you'll need#

• Strong communication, research, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
• Strong writing skills and the ability to see projects through to completion.
• Pursuing or holding a degree in Political Science, Public Health, Communications, Sociology, or Business Administration.
• A commitment to the mission of the Texas Democratic Party.

Location & details#

• Locations: Dallas, Texas and Austin, Texas.
• Modality: On-site only.
• Compensation: $15 per hour ($3,600 total for the 10-week period).
• Term: Rolling basis.
