About the role#
The Junior Biomedical Internship program offers two distinct tracks: a research track focused on projects in tissue engineering, biomaterials, or biosensors, and an entrepreneurship track centered on biomedical innovation. This is an unpaid, year-round, on-site internship based in Woodland Hills, California.
What you'll do#
- Develop logical and analytical thinking skills through research and data analysis.
- Learn to understand the technology platforms developed at the Terasaki Institute.
- Conduct impact assessments and perform marketing research.
- Assist in the development of business strategies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate in a four-year college or university in the U.S. or its territories.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate study prior to the start of the program.
- Intention to pursue a Ph.D. or joint M.D./Ph.D. in a bioscience field, with no current admission or enrollment in a graduate program.
- Ability to work well in a team environment while remaining self-governed.
- Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Status as a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
