About the role#
The Technology Intern works within the Technology Department to provide hands-on support for end-user technology, live events, and daily IT operations. This role offers exposure to cybersecurity, infrastructure, and networking initiatives while assisting staff across multiple locations. You will gain practical experience in a service-oriented environment by supporting both frontline technical needs and large-scale organizational activities.
What you'll do#
- Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Assist with device setup, deployment, troubleshooting, and replacement.
- Manage user onboarding and offboarding tasks, including equipment preparation.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and support guides.
- Provide on-site technical assistance during games and events, including setup, teardown, and post-event validation.
- Participate in after-hours or weekend support for major events.
- Assist with cybersecurity awareness initiatives, asset inventory, and access control processes.
- Observe activities related to endpoint security, identity management, and compliance tracking.
- Shadow infrastructure and network team members during maintenance and upgrades.
- Perform basic network connectivity checks, equipment staging, and cabling support.
- Escalate complex issues to senior team members.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Interest in IT support, cybersecurity, and infrastructure technologies.
- Familiarity with Windows or macOS environments.
- A strong customer service mindset and a willingness to learn.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical users.
- Ability to work in live operational settings and adapt to non-standard schedules.
Location & details#
- Location: Charlotte, North Carolina.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling term.
- Physical requirements include lifting up to 60 pounds, working on ladders, using power tools, and walking throughout the facility for extended periods.
- The role requires availability for nights, weekends, and holidays to support stadium events and may involve driving between company facilities.
