About the role#
TENEX.AI is hiring a Software Engineer Intern to join our core engineering team. This is a full-time, 12-week program that runs year-round. You will work 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, in our San Jose office.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend services and APIs.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, code reviews, testing, and debugging.
- Write clean, testable, and well-documented code.
- Troubleshoot technical issues across the full stack.
- Help improve our internal development processes and tools.
What you'll need#
- A solid grasp of software engineering principles and best practices.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in software engineering through coursework, projects, or previous internships.
- Proficiency in at least one backend language like Go or Python.
- Experience with a modern frontend framework such as Next.js, TypeScript, React, or Vue.js.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Compensation: Paid internship with a fixed 30-hour workweek.
