About the role#
West Boca Medical Center is hiring Nurse Externs to join our clinical team. This role is for nursing students who want to gain hands-on experience in a hospital setting. You will work under the supervision of registered nurses to support patient care and unit operations.
What you'll do#
- Help patients with their daily living activities.
- Provide basic care to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of patients.
- Perform nursing interventions that you have learned in clinical training, once validated by an RN.
- Assist with unit secretary and clerical duties as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited RN program.
- Completion of your first clinical rotation.
- Successful completion of a Nursing fundamentals course.
- Active AHA BLS certification.
