About the role#
The Service Area Coordinator Intern role is designed for students seeking to build foundational skills through structured guidance. You will work on projects that apply your academic knowledge in a professional utility setting. Experienced staff will provide direction and explain procedures to help you navigate established protocols.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate communications and work between field, engineering, and administrative teams.
- Track work requests, project status, and outstanding items.
- Schedule, organize, and follow up on operational activities.
- Assist the distribution design staff as needed.
- Build your knowledge of utility distribution, engineering processes, and financial tracking in SAP.
- Participate in emergency or disaster response and recovery activities as a condition of employment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program.
- Pursuit of a degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proof of university co-op program enrollment if applicable.
- Ability to work in an office environment with occasional time in the field where safety equipment is required.
