About the role#
This internship is exclusively for Active Duty Military members participating in the DoD SkillBridge program. You will work alongside our project managers and scrum masters to gain experience in project management within the software development industry. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Analyze, plan, and develop project requirements and standards.
- Create and maintain project documentation, including roadmaps, cost estimates, work plans, and status reports.
- Lead technical management using Scrum and Agile methodologies, including facilitating stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Define project deliverables, roles, and responsibilities for team members.
- Oversee daily tasks for technical personnel to ensure milestones are met.
- Track team performance and manage schedule or cost changes with customers.
- Resolve project conflicts and escalate issues when necessary.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field. We will consider associate degrees or certificates combined with relevant experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in analytical thinking and problem-solving.
- Leadership, time management, and organizational skills.
- Experience with large-scale project management, preferably in IT.
- Experience as a scrum master or software project lead is preferred.
- Current project management or Scrum/Agile certifications are preferred.
Location & details#
- This role is remote, though you may infrequently need to travel to our headquarters in Utica, NY, the AFRL in Rome, NY, or customer sites.
- You must be a U.S. citizen. You will be subject to a security investigation and must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
