About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in ticket sales, operations, corporate sponsorship, and annual giving. You will work directly with our field leaders and receive support from our corporate staff. We hold bi-weekly training sessions to support your professional development while you contribute to the sales efforts of our partner athletics programs. Many participants in this program go on to accept full-time roles within the sports industry.
What you'll do#
- Sell a full menu of ticket products for various sports and special events.
- Manage inbound traffic through phone calls, emails, and walk-ups.
- Complete research and prospecting projects on a set schedule.
- Participate in meetings and training sessions.
- Provide customer service to current and future fans.
- Represent Taymar and the partner athletics program with integrity.
- Assist the General Manager or Director of Sales with other assigned duties.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program, or a bachelor's degree from a 4-year university.
- Familiarity with college or professional sports.
- A strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A desire to learn and grow as a professional.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site, unpaid internship that can be completed for college credit.
- Positions are available at various Taymar client properties across the United States, including locations in KY, LA, GA, SC, PA, IL, CT, OH, AL, KS, NC, TX, TN, MO, AR, CA, ND, FL, IN, MI, NY, NE, DC, and WY.
- This role follows a rolling term schedule.
