About the role#
Tarkett is looking for an engineering intern for a 12-month program throughout 2027. You will work with our team in Dalton, Georgia, across the winter, summer, and fall terms. This role provides exposure to multiple business units within our operations, including cost control and budgeting initiatives. You will be mentored by experienced engineers and managers while working in a flat organizational structure.
What you'll do#
- Follow safe work practices to protect yourself and your colleagues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the efficiency of deployed solutions.
- Manage multiple projects and support safety and quality assurance initiatives.
- Analyze data and coordinate with stakeholders to implement new procedures.
- Participate in meetings, project reviews, seminars, and training sessions.
- Take on additional tasks as required.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering, as well as Mechatronics, Controls/Automation, Quality Systems, Environmental/Industrial Safety, or Business Administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Matlab.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Prior manufacturing experience or coursework is helpful but not required.
Location & details#
- Location: Dalton, Georgia.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 16 to 20 hours per week during the spring and fall, and 40 hours per week during the summer.
- Status: This is a paid, part-time internship.
