Synaptrix is seeking interns to contribute to the development of non-invasive brain-computer interfaces. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside engineers, researchers, and designers on projects spanning software engineering, hardware development, machine learning, and industrial design. Interns will take ownership of meaningful projects and participate in cross-functional design reviews and research sessions.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the development of real-time software systems for neural signal processing and data visualization.
- Build and prototype non-invasive EEG-based BCI hardware, ranging from electrode arrays to embedded microcontroller systems.
- Design, train, and evaluate machine learning models for EEG/EMG decoding, denoising, and signal enhancement.
- Develop intuitive interfaces and user experiences for individuals with mobility or communication impairments.
- Collaborate with the design team to prototype wearable and ergonomic form factors for neurotech devices.
- Support data collection, experimental setup, and the creation of technical documentation and test plans.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Neuroscience, or Mechanical/Industrial Design.
- Demonstrated experience with Python, C++, or JavaScript.
- Strong problem-solving ability and an interest in neuroscience, AI, or human-machine interfaces.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Prior experience with EEG/EMG systems, biosignal acquisition, or data analysis is preferred.
