About the role#
Syfan Logistics offers a summer internship program for students interested in transportation and logistics. You will receive orientation and training in basic logistics concepts before working alongside experienced team members. This role provides coaching and mentorship to help you develop professional skills in specific departments. You will work a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
What you'll do#
- Complete rotations in departments such as Logistics Operations, 3PL Sales, Accounting, Marketing, IT/Data Analytics, and Pricing.
- Apply training on Logistic Tracking Methods within our operations.
- Update our proprietary transportation management system with load details, carrier availability, and capacity data.
- Assist the carrier sales team with prospecting calls to build relationships with carriers.
- Develop and deliver a presentation to management regarding your project assignments and outcomes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Syfan partner college or university.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Effective verbal, written, and digital communication skills.
