About the role#
Swish Dental is looking for an RCM Specialist Intern to support our finance department. This is a remote, temporary position based in the Philippines. You will handle credentialing tasks and manage various stages of the dental revenue cycle to ensure accurate billing and collections.
What you'll do#
- Process provider applications and keep provider data accurate in our database.
- Communicate with the team during credentialing and follow up on application statuses.
- Review revenue cycle processes including insurance verification, claims submission, and payment posting.
- Use practice management software to enter data and generate reports.
- Investigate and resolve denied, delayed, or underpaid insurance claims.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Analyze claim denials to identify root causes and report findings to the team.
- Coordinate with dental providers to gather documentation for claims and handle appeals.
- Maintain records of all follow-up activities and claim outcomes.
What you'll need#
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role, including at least 2 years in dental billing and revenue cycle management.
- Proficiency with dental billing software such as OpenDental, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft.
- Familiarity with dental coding including CPT and ICD-10.
- Understanding of insurance billing processes and dental plans.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- A positive and patient demeanor.
