About the role#
Susser Bank is hiring Summer Analysts for the 2027 Banker Development Program. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship in Arlington, Texas. You will gain experience in the commercial lending lifecycle, from initial credit analysis to ongoing portfolio management. The program focuses on building technical credit skills and professional judgment through structured training and hands-on project work.
What you'll do#
- Complete structured training in commercial lending, financial statement analysis, and credit risk management.
- Assist in analyzing financial, credit, and collateral information for new and existing commercial credit relationships.
- Support the preparation of credit memoranda, financial spreads, risk assessments, and transaction summaries.
- Review incoming financial statements and update financial spreads.
- Participate in mentorship opportunities, leadership development activities, and executive networking sessions.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics.
- Completion of at least your junior year before the program starts.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3.
- A plan to complete at least 9 semester hours of Accounting coursework.
- Strong analytical aptitude and the ability to interpret financial information.
