About the role#
Superior Trim is hiring an engineering intern to gain hands-on experience in plastics manufacturing, injection molding, and process engineering. You will work alongside experienced engineers and operations staff to contribute to projects in a manufacturing environment. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers with manufacturing process improvements and cost reduction efforts.
- Collect, analyze, and report production and quality data.
- Support troubleshooting for molding processes, tooling, equipment, and quality issues.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Help with process validations, machine trials, and new product launches.
- Update work instructions, process documentation, and engineering standards.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement projects.
- Create and modify basic CAD drawings and layouts.
- Conduct time studies, workflow analysis, and productivity improvement projects.
- Participate in safety, environmental, and quality initiatives.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's program focused on manufacturing engineering.
- Standing as a junior or senior student.
