About the role#
This internship is designed for students considering a career as a financial advisor. It serves as an entry point into our Private Client Group. You will work on projects, reporting, and structural tasks while gaining exposure to our client-facing operations. Strong performers may be considered for a full-time Financial Advisor Associate position before graduation.
What you'll do#
- Support the Private Client Group through project work, reporting, and process management.
- Participate in client and internal meetings alongside our advisors.
- Create deliverables for client and prospect meetings to build your analytical and communication skills.
- Develop professional relationships through networking with firm leaders and industry professionals.
- Complete a final capstone project to present your learnings and experiences to the team.
- Manage additional projects as assigned by your manager.
What you'll need#
- You are a college junior and will be a rising senior in the summer of 2027.
- You have a genuine interest in becoming a financial advisor.
- Previous experience in an RIA or financial services firm is preferred.
- You bring leadership and customer service experience.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, is required.
- You are eager to learn our internal tools, including Salesforce, eMoney, and AI software.
- You demonstrate curiosity, initiative, and a positive attitude.
- You possess excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail.
- You are able to relocate to the Bay Area for the internship and after graduation.
- You must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Foster City, California.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: This is an on-site, 100% in-office role.
- Employment: Full-time (30-40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks.
- Compensation: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour.
