About the role#
STV is hiring a Transportation Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will work with designers on projects involving public transit, roadways, bridges, and pedestrian facilities. This is a paid, full-time position based in North Charleston.
What you'll do#
- Prepare drawings and specifications using MicroStation or Open Roads Designer.
- Format reports to support project documentation.
- Manage electronic project files, including printing and scanning.
- Use company and department software to complete assigned tasks.
- Gain exposure to the organizational structure through diverse project assignments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program for Civil or Structural engineering at an ABET-accredited university or NCEES equivalent.
- Strong interest in transportation engineering and infrastructure design.
- Familiarity with Open Roads or MicroStation software.
- Prior experience in the architecture, engineering, or construction management industry.
Location & details#
- Location: North Charleston, South Carolina.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with at least 3 days per week in the office.
- Sponsorship: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
