About the role#
STV is looking for a Transportation Engineering Intern to join our team for the summer of 2027. You will work alongside senior and junior designers on projects including public transit, pedestrian and bicycle facilities, roadways, and bridges. This position is full-time and requires you to be in the office at least 3 days a week. We prefer candidates who can commit to the internship for at least 3 months.
What you'll do#
- Prepare drawings and specifications using MicroStation or Open Roads Designer.
- Format reports and specifications to support project documentation.
- Manage electronic project documents, including printing and scanning.
- Use company and department software to complete assigned tasks.
- Gain exposure to our organizational structure through diverse assignments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program for Civil or Structural engineering at an ABET-accredited university or NCEES equivalent.
- A strong interest in transportation engineering and infrastructure design.
- Familiarity with Open Roads or MicroStation software.
- Prior experience in the architecture, engineering, or construction management industry.
