About the role#
We are looking for a student to join our Infrastructure and Technology team. This part-time position provides operational and technical support across our computer operations, service center, and workstation services. You will assist with production processing, end-user support, and general maintenance of our IT environment while following established procedures.
What you'll do#
- Monitor job scheduling systems to identify late, failed, or incomplete processes and help resolve these issues.
- Operate and maintain the computer room and peripheral equipment, reporting any issues to the appropriate staff.
- Provide tier-one technical support through phone, walk-in, or web channels.
- Document and route incidents using our ticket tracking system.
- Collaborate with IT teams on workload requests and operational tasks.
- Update documentation and procedures as needed.
- Maintain awareness of system status and assist with daily operational reporting.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for information technology, computer science, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and standard desktop tools.
- Ability to follow established security practices, endpoint protection standards, and system configuration guidelines.
- Capability to handle and preserve confidential information.
- Ability to work independently and within a team, while meeting deadlines with minimal direct supervision.
Location & details#
- Location: Columbus, Ohio.
- This is an on-site, part-time role working 25 to 29 hours per week based on your school schedule.
- This position is paid and does not offer visa sponsorship.
